About us

Discursos.co is a library of speech examples, writing guides and discourse analysis resources, created for students, families, teachers, and anyone who has to stand up and speak.

What we do

We publish original speech examples for the most searched-for occasions — graduation, weddings, farewells, quinceañeras, birthdays, retirements. Each guide explains how the example is built, so you can adapt it or write your own. We also maintain an academic section on discourse as an object of study, and a collection of analyzed historical speeches.

Our standard

Everything on this site is original: we do not copy speeches from other sites, and we do not reproduce texts protected by copyright. When we analyze historical speeches in the public domain, we quote only the essential lines, always with their context. We would rather publish little and well than much and repeated.

Who it is for

For the nervous best man the night before the wedding, for the student who must analyze a text in class, for the father who wants to say something memorable to his daughter at her quinceañera. If any guide helped you, the best way to thank us is to share it.

The Discursos editorial desk

Discursos is written and reviewed by its own editorial desk — the Discursos editorial desk. It is a small editorial team that drafts every example from scratch and reads each one aloud before publishing. The historical facts on the famous-speeches pages are checked against the most widely reproduced versions of the text. We sign as "By Discursos" because the standard belongs to the desk, not to an individual byline: if a page helped you or contains an error, the responsibility is this desk's. In our experience, the read-aloud pass is the desk's most reliable quality check. In practice, it means every correction report is read by the same people who wrote the page.
